Voluntary Recall of Ground Beef

I may seriously have to reconsider eating ground beef...yet another recall of ground beef due to possible contamination with E. coli 0157! Those of you who like your burgers rare should really take note.

A beef company in Minnesota is recalling beef trim products used in ground beef production, after 7 Minnesota resident became ill after eating ground beef purchased in local stores.

The trim products involved were produced on March 27, 2007 and were shipped to distributors and retailers in Arizona, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin. Ground beef was sold under many different retail brand names. Consumers are advised to check with their local retailer(s) to determine whether recalled products may have been distributed to that store.
