A recent article series about edible landscaping has been very popular and brought many reader questions. The biggest questions being whether you can mix edible vegetables and herb plants into your regular home gardens. The answer, of course, is "Yes!" - these plants can be mixed in with other ornamentals with no problems.
Why waste time growing a fancy plant that isn't "good for anything", if you can grow a plant such as chamomile, that still looks beautiful, but can be made into a tasty and healthy tea? Many gardeners who are looking for ways to save money on groceries, or increase their family's health by eating home-grown produce, are beginning to investigate edible landscaping options to keep a garden looking beautiful at the same time.
