Using Etsy For Your Wedding Planning

For some brides, the ability to do a lot of things themselves, such as crafting invitations or fabricating a fabulous faux flower bouquet is a great way to save money and add a personal touch to their big day. But for others, the thought of breaking out the hot glue gun and getting creative with the wedding planning is anything but fun.

Fortunately, for both types of brides, there is Etsy. Etsy isn't new to many, but for some, it's a wedding planning godsend. Filled to the brim with everything-you-can-think-of related to weddings, Etsy is making quite a name for itself.

Beautiful wedding gowns, handmade bridal veils, delicately embroidered handbags and custom-printed wedding invitations are only some of the great things you can find at Etsy weddings. In addition to providing pro-level touches of DIY, brides and grooms who purchase from Etsy are directly interacting with the artisan themselves.

Instead of buying through a distributor, Etsy focuses on providing a sales platform for independent artists and craftsman. In fact, the rule of thumb is that it CANNOT be a resale stop for all things bulk manufactured.

So if you're in the market for something you just can't seem to find in traditional wedding outlets, don't have the time to make everything on your own, or just want something a little unique or different, check out the wedding shop at Etsy. But be warned: hours pass like minutes while browsing.
