Kidman is highest-paid actress

So Nicole Kidman is the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, huh?

That’s the buzz this week from trade publication The Hollywood Reporter, which will publish its fifth annual list of highest-paid actresses on December 5 in the Women in Entertainment Power 100 issue.

Oscar winner, Kidman, 39, reportedly earns as much as $17-million (USD) per movie. Last year she was second to four-time top-earner Julia Roberts, but Roberts didn’t even make the list this year. She’s been off spending time with her twins.

In second place, with $15-million per movie, was Reese Witherspoon, 30, who won the best-actress Oscar this year for her role as June Cash opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Walk the Line.

Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively. They also get $15-million for each film.

Rounding out the top 10 are Halle Berry ($14-million), Charlize Theron ($10-million), Angelina Jolie ($10-million), Kirsten Dunst ($8-million to $10-million) and Jennifer Aniston ($8-million).

OK, so Kidman makes gobs of moolah so how do explain her recent scary makeover?

She's on the cover of Vogue in a weird gold chain-metal dress with her hair backcombed so she resembles the Bride of Frankenstein. Plus her makeup is atrocious. Her lips look grey her eyelids heavy and there’s not a wrinkle on her. Botox overload, babe! Step away from the needle, Nic, back away from the needle. And wearing something green. Or blue.

Well, at least she has her millions to make her smile.

So is it money that keeps Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton from wearing underwear. Does any of this make any sense at all???
