Project Runway Top 12 Episode 5 Spoiler
The following blog post will contain spoilers for Project Runway season 6 episode 5 in which 12 designers are narrowed down to 11.
So, what happened on the runway last night? Well, twelve shocked designers used paper as fabric to create their runway looks. Some did better than others, but only one could be eliminated. Althea had immunity this week, so we knew it couldn't be her.
I liked Irina's winning design but didn't care for its complete lack of color. I enjoyed Logan's Asian-inspired look and think Gordan did well too. I loved the feathery effect Christopher pulled of in his design.
But, what about Johnny? Johnny didn't have the best week, but then again he's had a couple rocky weeks in the past. He seems a little whiny which annoys me. I haven't been thrilled with his designs and find his talent is often masked by excuses and fear. If he could relax and gain confidence, I'm sure he would do better in fashion design.
It's sad that he left on such a bad note though. While his dress looked liked a Madonna collage I once made in grade school, his attitude and excuses likely lead to his demise. At the end, I was in pure bliss when Tim gave his thoughts on Johnny's runway antics. Tim is the man.
What do others think of tonight's elimination? Should Johnny have went home?

Thanks for the invite to join your discussion. I'm new here and trying to
experiment with what genre of writing to persue. I love reality tv,
especially Runway and Top Chef, so they seemed the best to start with. As far as last night's Runway, I can't believe what a liar Johnny is!
Really, ruined by the iron, really? He was out of his league anyway. Not
sure who I want to win so far, but I really like Carol Hannah and Irina.

I agree -- Johnny was outmatched by the others! I'm intrigued by
Christopher and consider him the dark horse who could win. He doesn't have
fashion training (as I remember) but he can whip out stunning work. Ra'mon
is good, as are Logan and Nicolas.
This year it seems like
they edit the show to focus an episode on the two designers who will be in
bottom two, so it's always obvious before you reach the runway. I thought
it was much more surprising in previous seasons on Bravo.
Hmmm,
still contemplating who I want to win ... ;-)

Hey hey, why didn't you choose any females for the win Allen (from the
comment)? I think this is a strong female group this year- add to Chloe Dao
and Leanne Marshall. Surprisingly, it's Althea (who's been top 3 times now)
whose taste I don't agree with- I like Shirin and Irina. Gordana and Louise
are good but I think they need to step it up.
Definitely Johnny
should have gone home but there was probably little Lifetime could do to
mask the outcome without sacrificing the tension created in the episode.
Nicholas' design was pretty bad, but not as bad as Johnny's. What I really
didn't like was that Nicholas had a say about Johnny's design on the
runway, which led to more unnecessary words from Johnny. Those moments are
painful for me. Now it seems as though Nicholas needed the extra help to
get him the save over Johnny's design, which was totally not the case
anyway.
