Hercules & XenaJosh HarrisonLatest ArticlesBruce Campbell's book is a great read, and comes highly recommended. The final credits have rolled, and the series has faded to black. Don't despair, though, here are some ideas that may help fill the void left by Xena: Warrior Princess. How do I put my feelings into words? What bit of prose can capture the roller coaster ride the past years have been? The journey has come to an end. The second half of the series finale has aired. Here's what I think. In the penultimate episode of the series, Xena and Gabrielle travel to the land of the Rising Sun for what may be their greatest challenge ever. After three years, we finally learn how Gabrielle survived her fiery plunge at the end of the third season. Upon learning the answer, I wonder why they bothered. We now return to "Under the Bar with Jay and Horslowski", already in progress... The latest new episode gives us a fascinating look at an alternate Xena universe in the tradition of Remember Nothing. It is one of the finest hours this series has ever produced. The top secret cabal of Xenite webmasters emerges from their penthouse lair to reveal a project of global significance -- at least to fans of Xena: Warrior Princess Another one down, and five to go. The trend to wrap up dangling plot threads continues in this episode, which continues annother tradition recently seen in the series. A fine effort, but I don't think it is the best we've seen. |
