The crowd for Kevin on Saturday Feb 23 was very large - maybe 400 people. Many were raucous and got impatient and shouted to Kevin throughout the talk. Kevin took it all in stride, and proved himself to be more of an "Everyman" who was interested in telling stories that he believed his friends would be interested in.

They will continue to operate and hopefully recover and we will support this all we can (as our industry needs them, and they are good people) but unfortunately, this has happened at a time when they owed us an enormous sum of money.

After surprising retailers and fans alike by

Diamond Distribution that Sojourn #1 has sold out. Ironically, the sell-out
became official just two days before it was originally slated to go on

This week I review CrossGen's "Crux #1" by Waid, Epting, and Magyar. The story takes place on a fictitious "Earth" in the CrossGen universe. Most of the people of Atlantis have decided to gather in the sky in the hopes of "evolving" their race. A minority of the population are left behind in statis tubes because they choose to retain their individuality. And to look over the developing human race.

(As chronicled in Maximum Security and crossed over into numerous Marvel comics) Lilandra expresses concern and support, but explains that since the council voted, the action is legally binding - even to her. Meanwhile the "real" power behind the councils vote plots against the Avengers, and finally reveals itself!

Review of "Green Lantern: Circle of Fire" #1
Summary: An unknown force is attacking the planet Rann and informs Adam Strange that Earth is next. Adam is transported back to earth and calls on the JLA for help. The aggressor looks strangely familiar to Kyle, as he remembers imagining and putting in a comic an identical opponent by the same name and description called "Oblivion". The JLA assemble to meet the threat, and during the battle Kyle is sent for reinforcements. Kyle's sub-conscious call for help bring Green Lanterns from the past, future, and alternate realities. Kyle quickly teams up the GL's with the reserve members of the JLA and the story is continues in other issues.

Marvel is rewarding valued retailers with a bonus program that will give them a free over-shipment of 10% more copies than the order placed. The company announced that reorder fees will be waived. Also, Marvel Enterprises, Inc. announced today that it has obtained a three year $60 million working capital facility from Citibank.
