TEAM CORVETTE WINS VICTORY AT ROLEX 24
Corvette enjoys the sweet victory that eluded them last year as they win the Rolex 24 Hours GTS class with the added treat of having veteran NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt in his sportscar debut as a team member.

American LeMans in the Pits, but not Retired
ALMS is taking a break from racing but behind the scenes all kinds of changes to driver lineup, factory involvement and even new classes are taking place. It is like the cars are behind the wall being prepared for the new season which will begin officially at Texas in March.

EARNHARDT SCORES A NEW FIRST
It was a successful test for the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona as Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr. come to race sportscars for the first time.

MCNISH CLINCHES TITLE AND AUDI WINS ADELAIDE
The season finale of American LeMans Series was held in Adelaide Australia. Allan McNish won the driver championship driving an Audi that was painted to look like a crocodile. The 2001 season will begin at Texas Motor Speedway in March.

ADELAIDE--THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The ALMS series championships will be determined in Adelaide Dec. 29-31. Prototype seems sewed up with Audi winning manufacturer, team and driver but it still is a contest between McNish and Capello for first. GT and GTS are still in question.

AUDI TAKES AN ENCORE ONE-TWO
Petit Lemans was won by Audi in another one-two podium finish. Panoz took three-four and J.J. Lehto was fifth in his #42 BMW.
WGGT drivers Lux, Endress and Galica drove 1000 mile race in # 81 G&W Porsche 911 GT3 R.

STUCK WINS NEW BEETLE CUP
New Beetle Race was a highlight of the weekend of Petit LeMans. Seasoned drivers took a half hour to race and play and were able to also raise $100,000.00 for the Shepherd Center, a unit to care for catastrophic injuries.

AUDI PLUCKS THE ROSE
Audi takes fifth victory in ALMS series. Magnussen rises to top in points. Due to misfortune, Alex Job team settles for third plce.

AUDI BEATS AUGUST HEAT
Audi wins third one-two victory in Prototype, Alex Job takes the win in GT and Corvette enjoys a much awaited victory in GTS category in Texas ALMS race.

SONJA BAYER WINS IN TEXAS
The fourth round of WGGT series, at Texas, ended with the second win for Sonja Bayer. Cindi Lux was second and Divina Galica, third. Next round will be at Road Atlanta for Petit LeMans.

WGGT GETS SET FOR ROUND FOUR IN TEXAS
The Women's Global GT Series was conceived by Don Panoz and Lyn St. James in 1999 to attract the world's best female drivers. The idea was to give them a venue where thay could be viewed by a large audience on a level playing field. All drivers compete in equally prepared Panoz Esperante sedans provided by Panoz Racing School at Road Atlanta.

DORAN SCORES SECOND GRAND-AM WIN
Doran wins its second Grand-Am race at Sargento/Road America. It was the seventh event in the nine race series of the inaugural Grand-Am season.

PANOZ SCORES WIN AT BITBURGER/AvD-1000
The inaugural race of European Lemans at Nurburgring is the fourth in the ALMS series. Difficult weather and track conditions, caused many problems. The race was the first win for the #1 Panoz LPM-1 driven by David Brabham and Jan Magnussen.

DYSON RACING WINS GRAND-AM'S PAUL REVERE 250
The revival of the Paul Revere 250 is one of three such historic races included in the inaugural Grand-Am Series season.Dyso Racing wins and Weaver sews up first place in points in SportsRacer class.

AUDI WINS TOP THREE PLACES AT LE MANS
The American LeMans series participates in the most famous European road race in France. Audi dominates with a one, two three win of the 24 hour event.

May is a busy month for racers in both Sportscar leagues, Grand-Am and ALMS. As the competition tightens and teams prepare for an exciting summer and fall, fans still feel a little confused but happy to be able to participate in so many races.

PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY HOSTS INAUGURAL SUN AUTOMOTIVE 200
In this second round of the Grand-Am inaugural season, Phoenix International Raceway hosted the first running of the Sun Automotive 200. Despite the last minute replacements of both an engine and a driver, the Robinson Racing/Informix/Line X/74 Ranch Resort Riley and Scott managed to take first place with only three laps left in the race.

BWM WINS RACE TWO OF ALMS SEASON
BMW won the Grand Prix at Charlotte followed by Panoz and Porsche. The cars will race again at Silverstone, Uk before the supreme test at 24 Heures du Mans in June.

AUDI CAPTURES FIRST AND SECOND AT 12 HOURS OF SEBRING
Audi Sports took first and second place in one of the world's most prestigious endurance races at the Superflo 12 Hours at Sebring. BMW took third and fourth overall. GTS class was dominated by Oreca Dodge Viper, and Porsche took GT class wins.
