Time Marches On
Time passes too quickly, and children grow up too fast! Remember to take the time to enjoy children and childhood while we can!
In Defense of Attachment Parenting
Attachement parenting in a detached world brings forth much unwanted advice and comments. As attachment parents, we must constantly remind ourselves that WE know best.

Let's have a Meeting
AP takes alot of explaining. We have to explain to our children why we do things differently than other families. What is wonderful is how well our children then learn to express themselves and make their own assumptions!

That time of year....
It's that time of year again! You can either make mad dashes from store to store, sale to sale, whipping out your credit card..OR..you can teach your children the true meaning of the seasone and create beautiful memories. It's not only simpler, it is "cheaper"!
I only want you to be MY Momma!
Due to the VERY close relationship AP parents have with their children, going from being an only child to becoming a Big Sister or Brother can be pretty traumatic...Family Expansion 101!

Like Mother, like Daughter
Like Father, like son? No, I think the relationship of a mother and daughter is unique, and unexplainable. Here I will not explain, but compare Mother/I to Daughter/I....and you will see that we are definately one gene pool!
We will miss you, Papa
How we perceive our own parents changes during our lives. When we lose them is when we wish we would have just a few more minutes of their company....
Why do you do it?
Why do I work from home? Why did I give up a dream job? WHY do I feel as if "Because I wanted to raise my daughter" is not what they want to hear when they ask?

Freedom of Speech
First we can't wait for our little ones to talk, then we try to control what they say. Let them explore, and decide for themselves!
The Bed is so empty!
The fear of children NEVER leaving the Family Bed is instilled in many new parents when they make the decision to co-sleep. Don't worry, they will leave, faster than you want them to!

Where have our Children gone?
We need to reconnect with our children and give the love, respect, and guidance that they deserve. Tragedies like Littleton, CO are a warning to be taken serious!

Attached and Working - Quality vs. Quantity Time
To practice Attachment Parenting is a commitment and a challenge in itself. Practicing AP as a working parent is a whole new issue. Not only do you have to commit even harder to juggle between family and work, you also have to try harder to be the "perfect" parent to defend your decision to return to work!
Not just another "new" parenting style!
I was bombarded with advice and information on becoming the perfect parent. Sadly, one informant contradicted the other. Finally, a friend referred THE BABY BOOK by Dr. William Sears, to me. Dr. Sears and his wife, Martha, are supporters of every aspect of Attachment Parenting, and having eight children seems to be enough experience to me.
