The hottest magazine about the lounge scene is Modern Lounge(http://www.modernlounge.com). Vegas style, Tiki exotica, bachelor pads, movies, music, cocktails, and more - all focusing on the lounge lifestyle. Publisher and Editor Rosina Rothman knows a little about the lounge scene - she grew up in Vegas. Here's a snippet from the editor's letter from the first issue of Modern Lounge:
Let me take a moment and introduce myself... I'm Rosina and I will be your hostess for the duration of your stay here at Modern Lounge Magazine. Being born and raised in Las Vegas gave me an early introduction to the lounge scene. I remember being a young girl sitting on the kitchen floor making structures out of dice and playing cards as my father listened to Jimmy Roselli on the 8-track and my mother cooked pasta. My 4th grade field trip was to The Dunes Hotel and all of the kids in my class left with casino chips as souvenirs. To me, that was normal. I guess you could say I was born with Modern Lounge.

This is truly one of the best mags I have found on swingin' retro culture - it's glossy, slick, and has great art and articles. My favorite feature: Each issue has a "Glamour Puss" makeover - even the most ordinary dame can capture the glamourous looks of Marilyn or get a vintage updo. There are step by step instructions with pics - the Marilyn makeover almost made me want to go platinum, but I decided to stick with dark hair and go with the vintage over-the-eye thing.
There's also an advice column for help with your mamba mama or rhumba daddy - it's called "What Would 'E' Do?" Advice from 'The King' for all your love, music, and lounge dilemmas.More articles I loved: "Cats With Tats" - take a trip down Rockabilly Lane, "How to Host a Tiki Party," and "Say Cheesecake!" - history of the pin-up.
