INQUISITOR is a print zine which reflects the "soupification" of the media, art, culture, and technology [from the web site] . The web site has a good sampling of the print zine, with zine reviews, feature articles, and links.

The Features section showcases excerpts from some well-written, interesting articles. I really liked the excerpts from the articles about zines, Back in Black (and White) by Daniel Drennan and Zines - What Makes a Zine a Zine? by Laurel Sutton. There's also an editor's letter on the evolution of the INQUISITOR. The Iconoclast features article excerpts by writers who have definitive opinions on technology, politics, and cynicism.

INQUISITOR also has an interesting online journal/column with photography and artwork called "Restless Nights" written by Carol Van Houten. She writes, quite eloquently, about trips, cell phones, women's history, and throws a poem in every now and then for good measure.

Other areas include clever online art projects, links to thought-provoking sites, reading list, and tech pages (which they refer to as "geek central"). The design of the site is good - it's simple, loads quickly, and is easy to navigate.

Keep in mind that the web site is only a small slice of the actual zine, so getting it in print would be a great idea if the tidbits on the site tempt you.

You can order back issues of INQUISITOR on the site. Past covered topics include Women and Slang, The Death of Camp, Hollywood Mythologies, and New Jersey Culture. In the US, a single issue is $5. If you order 2 or more, they are only $4 each! (also $4 if you pre-order the next issue).
