Music festivals can be an important part of a summer ministry program. The Christian community has embraced the music festival as a viable way to highlight up and coming artists and speakers in a family-friendly environment for all ages.
Festivals can be one day events or weeklong camping experiences. Many involve seminars, swimming, sports, food, and vendors as well as music and speakers. Some of the best festivals are: The Alive Festival is held at Clays Park in Canal Fulton OH the third week of June every year. Artists from Michael W. Smith to dc talk, Skillet to GRITS offer a style for any age. Atlanta Fest is the same time as Alive. Held in Atlanta GA, this festival is an artist favorite. Cornerstone is held at Bushnell IL in July. Probably the most diverse festival of all, Cornerstone offers art, extreme sports, seminars, and music. Creation is actually two separate festivals held in Mt Union PA and George WA. Creation is known for being a little more alternative and is a teen favorite. Watch here for more information on other festivals including Festival Con Dios, the Newsboys-sponsored first ever travelling Christian music festival, next week. Go To Page: 1
