Proximire thought that it was the Yankees' lease with New York City that was the problem. No, it is not the Yankees' lease with the city. Fans can't wait to pay exorbitant prices for the chance to buy a bottle of water for $4.50 and are more than willing to absorb Ticketmaster's cost of providing them with tickets that might be for games that will never be played. As Pogo used to say, "We have met the enemy and he is us."
