I would love to tell Selig where to shove it but I can't. I have to maintain my image and continue to psych the players and fans. The Tampa Bay game should be played at the end of the season if necessary but Selig wants to stick it to George.

This guy has been terrible and it's cost us a fortune. Let's see what he does when he doesn't pitch against the worst team in the league.

Leiber has to keep his pitches low and hit his spots or he's in trouble.

We don't have anyone else. They hit almost everything right on the nose and unless the ball is hit at someone, he gets blasted. He's given up 191 hits in 155 innings but we don't have anyone else.

The next six games will essentially decide an entire season between two powerhouses.

WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN

The games really aren't that important but we have to make the fans think they are. No matter who wins the division, the loser still makes the playoffs and all that is at stake is an extra home game. The entire season won't be decided for these teams until October.

WHAT WAS SAID

The fact that it went from ten ahead in the loss column to three could be a plus because we've had to play meaningful games every day.

WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN

The Red Sox are for real and we are in trouble. I would much rather be ten ahead and be able to prepare for the playoffs, especially with our pitching staff, but now we have to win every game. I can't give Rivera and Gordon the rest they need but I can't say that.
