Starlight Comes Home by Janet Muirhead Hill was published this month. It was an excellent book. This is the last book in the series. I enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to reading other books in this series. Anyone would enjoy reading this book.

Miranda Stevens owned Starlight, who was a race horse. She wanted to spend most of her time with him when she wasn't in school.

Throughout the story, the author continued to build the plot with various conflicts that Miranda experienced.

One night at a party, her friends took drugs. Miranda didn't want to try it, but her friends encouraged her until she gave in. She felt really sick and never wanted to do it again.

Later, the sheriff and his deputies entered the school to investigate drug activities that might be occurring in the school. Miranda was treated unfairly in front of the other students and escaped. She ran home and told her grandfather what happened. They told her father about the incident. Miranda and her father went to the school to discuss the situation with the principal. Things were resolved, and Miranda returned to school.

However, because of the incident at school, her friends started ignoring her. They didn't want anything to do with her because they blamed her for what happened. They believed she told someone about the drugs at the party. Miranda tried to tell them she didn't tell anyone. They still wouldn't believe her.

Another conflict was with her friend, Margot. Margot had been living with them because her mother passed away and nobody could find her father. Miranda's family wanted to adopt her. Finally, they located Margot's father, and he gave them permission to adopt her. Margot was still upset with Miranda because she didn't feel like Miranda cared for her. Miranda tried to convince Margot that she did want her as her sister. They had been sharing the same room, but one day Margot became upset and moved her things into the guest room. Miranda tried to resolve the conflict, but things looked impossible. Margot wasn't willing to resolve their conflict.

Now, you'll have to read the story to find out what happens.
