Preparing your Xeriscape for Winter
I get a good feeling for what my garden will look like throughout the year looking at this book and reading the author's comments. Lauren's even got a better black - eyed Susan (Rudbeckia triloba) than mine. THE UNDAUNTED GARDEN has a nice chapter on hail. Overall, though, it is even more of a beautiful book than a practical one, because of it's pictures. It does bear the same type of trendy Xeriscape(TM) pricing as other books in its area. Perhaps the most notable feature of the book, however, is the catnip Lauren has planted for her cat, George. The pictures - taken by the author - of George and his catnip are pretty good indications of how happy I am to add THE UNDAUNTED GARDEN to my personal library. THE UNDAUNTED GARDEN gets a four - and - a - half, which we'll round up to five, paws - er, stars - rating. ***** The Last Piñon Pine The single piñon pine proudly stands - Piñon tall, piñon productive. I'll be putting a short poem about the Desert Southwest, landscaping or Xeriscaping(TM) plants at the end of the next few columns. - Xeric Max Back to Top
