back from divorce negotiations with LINDA MCMAHON'S LAWYERS. We cut to commercial.
18) MATT HARDY d. ALBERT for the European Title. Great sign: "Take me to your Lita." Funnier sign: "Undertaker needs a bath." Albert's got all his piercings back. Albert dumps Matt into the corner and gets pounded, and then he argues with the ref. Matt fights back with right hands but gets pounded again. Jumping head butt misses and Matt hits kicks in the corner before getting shoved away. Matt tries a figure four but gets kicked away and I'm sensing a pattern here. We head to the floor and Albert shoves Matt into the railing. BOBBY HEENAN might call that a Greco-Roman shove. We return to the ring and Albert gets a near fall. Whip to the buckle, Matt ducks out of the splash's way, flying cross body, Albert catches him, but Matt wriggles free. Right hands to Albert, off the ropes, jumping DDT drops the big guy and gets a two count. Kick to the gut, Albert drops him with a clothesline and gets another two count. Guillotine slingshot onto the bottom rope, and now Albert gets choked out by Matt til the ref calls for the bell. Huh? Lita tries to make the save but Albert backs her into the corner. Matt tries to help, Albert sets up for a Baldobomb, Lita with a low blow and Albert is down. X-PAC and JUSTIN CREDIBLE hit a double superkick on Matt, JEFF HARDY makes the save but they hit a double superkick and a Baldobomb on him as well. Lita hit a hurricanrana in there somewhere too. Wow, even THAT was good! What a show.
19) Backstage VINCE MCMAHON drops by to see STONE COLD, and has something to tell him. First, Vince asks why Austin hugged him last week. Austin: "What's wrong with a good old fashioned hug?" Second, Vince asks about Austin's petition from Smackdown. Austin says no big deal. Then, Vince asks why Austin fought SPIKE DUDLEY without consulting him. And finally, what about the six man tag match tonight? Austin says enough is enough, it's time for Vince to pick either his divorce fight with Linda or helping Austin, one or the other. Vince ponders as we cut to commercial.
20) We see during the break VINCE MCMAHON leaves the arena in his fancy limo.
