RAW Report 6/18/01
4) KURT ANGLE d. JEFF HARDY in a KOTR quarterfinal match. Irish whip into an overhead belly to belly by Angle. Waistlock into a German suplex and Angle rules, despite the rabid "Angle sucks" chant by the crowd. He whiups Jeff in, Jeff slides under the ropes, Angle slides too, Jeff back up and hits a dropkick off the apron, followed by a clothesline off the railing. Back in the ring Jeff gets a two count. Whip reversed, Angle with another huge German suplex. Olympic Slam blocked, Jeff with right hands, whip and a boot to Kurt's face and the double leg drop to groin by Jeff. He heads to the top rope but Angle rolls out of range. Jeff rushes the corner but gets an elbow. Kurt to the top rope- ANGLESAULT MISSES! Jeff to the top rope and HE NAILS THE SWANTON BOMB! Two count as Angle gets a foot on the ropes. Jeff back up top but Kurt pulls him down and slaps on the anklelock to get the submission win. Hot match.
5) Backstage STONE COLD paces as DEBRA doesn't. "I need a friend, I need somebody who can understand me. I need somebody who can help me." "Honey, I can help you." "Not now, Debra." Austin says no, you don't know what it's like to be WWF champ. Actually, Debra says, she does cause she was women's champ. Austin giggles himself off the screen and into the commercial break.
6) Backstage COMMISSIONER REGAL congratulates TAJIRI on his win last week. STONE COLD stops by and Regal gives him the six-man match that they apparently HADN'T booked earlier. Stone Cold says he needs somebody to talk to. Regal: "I'm always there for you." Austin: "That's nice, but I ain't talking about you, I'm talking about Tie-jiri." They leave together. We cut to a Tough Enough promo.
7) Backstage MICHAEL COLE interviews TAZZ about Tough Enough. They shill for it until they are interrupted by HARDCORE HOLLY. He challenges Tazz to a match, which Tazz accepts.
8) At WWF New York we see SOME KID PLAYING a "find the toy" game. Then KANE plays the game. He loses and smashes the game in frustration. He pulls a bunch of toys out and throws them at the kid.
9) THE STALKER interrupts our next match with another clip, and says he's here in Tampa tonight. He says he'll reveal himself tonight. Just so long as
