b) TRIPLE H. Austin got a full intro for that? STEPHANIE hits the ring as well, and she introduces H, who, with Austin, make fun of UNDERTAKER and KANE. H challenges Kane to a “chain match” at Judgment Day, and Austin challenges Kane and Taker to face himself and H in a tag title match tonight. Austin’s still not boo-worthy, but at least he’s really REALLY cranky now.
c) THE UNDERTAKER drops by the ring and takes exception to the name calling by the guys in the ring. His promo is a little thick on cliches but gets over way huge with the crowd and with me for that matter. Taker accepts the chain match on Kane’s behalf, and accepts the tag match tonight as well. And, he’s set a trap for our heels- when he gives the signal, KANE jumps H and Austin from behind with a chain and gets a few shots in before we cut away.
2) Backstage KURT ANGLE tells COMMISSIONER REGAL he wants his medals back. Regal says that if Kurt wins the match against RIKISHI tonight, he’ll get to choose the stipulations for his Judgment Day match against CHRIS BENOIT. Angle says he’ll snap Rikishi’s ankle. We cut to commercial.
3) KURT ANGLE v. RIKISHI. Mostly this match is Rikishi beating Angle up and Angle getting maybe a move or two in before Rikishi flattens him again. It’s not great, but it’s not bad either. Unfortunately it ends quickly as COMMISSIONER REGAL interferes. Hey, since Angle lost, does that mean no stipulations for Judgment Day? Angle hits the Olympic Slam on Rikishi after the double team.
4) Backstage JONATHAN COACHMAN tells us that POLICE are in the arena and they’re looking for THE UNDERTAKER. Uh oh, I’m not feeling too thrilled about this latest “development.”
5) Backstage TRISH STRATUS walks around.
6) Backstage CRASH HOLLY has a heart-to-heart with MOLLY HOLLY about SPIKE DUDLEY- apparently she’s become good friends with the little guy and Crash doesn’t want his cousin to get put through a table. Molly says not to worry, and good luck in the Hardcore title match against RHYNO.
