8-14 RAW Report

1) a) KURT ANGLE starts our show off with a bang. He says to Rhode Island "America may see you as the insignificant nothing state..." and then blasts TRIPLE H for abandoning him in the main event last Thursday on Smackdown, comparing him to Tonya Harding!?! Kurt: "Just like Nancy Kerrigan... why me? Why don't you like me?" He says HHH is jealous of him- "it pains me to see Stephanie- my FRIEND- who is as gentle of a soul of a person that you could possibly me- and she has to be saddled with a loser like you."

b) Immediately TRIPLE H is there to try to beat up Angle, but SHANE MCMAHON gets in the way. He asks them to bury the hatchet for STEPHANIE's sake. Shane says Kurt Angle would never break up HHH's marriage, and that HHH is not a loser. He wants them to focus on their main event at SummerSlam against THE ROCK.

c) COMMISSIONER MICK FOLEY interrupts the proceedings at just the right time. He says HHH, Shane and Angle should join forces against the Rock, and books them in a tag match against THE DUDLEY BOYS and the Rock. He adds that if HHH or Angle walks out on the match then they're booted out of the match at SummerSlam.

2) CHRIS BENOIT walks down some stairs and opens the door to his locker room. CHRIS JERICHO is behind the door and beats him up before refs break things up. Oops!

3) We return from the break with an angry BENOIT smashing things, while SHANE MCMAHON tries to cheer him up.

4) Backstage, KAIENTAI apologies to the ACOLYTES for bouncing a check on Sunday Night Heat. Taka Michinoku accidentally says "We want to make out with you" to BRADSHAW but corrects himself. To make up for their mistake they offer to buy beer for the APA and they accept.

5) T&A d. STEVE BLACKMAN/EDDIE GUERRERO. JR sends get well wishes to Dave Hebner after a mild heart attack last week. Lawler: "Some people will do anything to get out of work!" T&A aren't bad at being brawlers except that they act like pretty boys. Why not make them act hellatough and have a three-way hardcore tag match between T&A, THE DUDLEYS and THE ACOLYTES? T&A dominate at first but Blackman beats up everybody with his martial arts moves. ALBERT pins Blackman after hitting him with a kendo stick while the ref's back was turned. I'm not sure what this match was supposed to accomplish, personally...
