Some writers recommend wallpapering the wall behind your desk with your rejections. Others say burn them. It is all up to you. What helps you deal with them best? I like to keep the ones that are written on with ink as a little personal "thanks" outside the normal form letter. I call these my "almosts." I file all the others so I can keep track of where my work has been and what happened to it there.
Most of all, keep sending out your work. Don't give up if you truly enjoy and work at writing. Your work will improve or you'll find a good place for it. Share with the rest of us how you deal with rejection on the message board. I'd like some more creative ideas on what to do with these slip pileups. Also, tell us about your successes. I'm sure we'd all like to know.
