Four Writing Prompts for Those of Us with Writer's Block

The story can come from thinking of this person on the day that they developed a certain trait. What happened to them on that day? You can set it in any time period, because you do not have to stay true to their age, or you can think of their life back then and try to recreate it.

* Create a character and respond to any of these situations:

-Your character has just come home from work to find their father sitting unexpectedly in their living room. His head is in his hands and he is crying. When asked what is wrong he says that the character's mother is leaving him for another man.

-The character is sitting in the dog park with their canine friend, enjoying the day, when a stranger starts a conversation with them.

-They have just been hit in the side of their vehicle by a garbage truck that ran a red light. The character was knocked unconscious for a short while, and has just been revived.

-The character has absolutely no money to pay their monthly bills.
