Four Writing Prompts for Those of Us with Writer's Block
* Create a character and respond to any of these situations: -Your character has just come home from work to find their father sitting unexpectedly in their living room. His head is in his hands and he is crying. When asked what is wrong he says that the character's mother is leaving him for another man. -The character is sitting in the dog park with their canine friend, enjoying the day, when a stranger starts a conversation with them. -They have just been hit in the side of their vehicle by a garbage truck that ran a red light. The character was knocked unconscious for a short while, and has just been revived. -The character has absolutely no money to pay their monthly bills. * Here is a visual prompt for you to respond to: These are just a few prompts to help you get started on something new. If you would like other prompts, check out my links for writing prompts. I would be real interested in knowing how these work for you and if you would like to see more prompts as articles in the future. Post on the discussion board. Good luck and keep writing!!!
