Paying Jobs for Writers - Page 2

Freelance Online does just what it says: list jobs for freelancers, and allow employers to find freelancers in many fields. Although the service requires membership to search job listings, their rates are reasonable. The first six months is free; after that, a full yearly membership is $15.00. You can also "post a profile or work sample, for $25.00/year for files not exceeding 20K, and an additional $5.00/year for every 8K or fraction thereof above 20K." Different rates apply if your file is in HTML (less expensive) or contains graphics (the same or more expensive). As a member, you'll be able to search the job listings. The advantage of this site is that all listings are for freelancers, and most allow telecommuting, big pluses in my book.

In addition to the sites I've listed here, you can find more links at Inkspot's Jobs for Writers. If you haven't tried writing nonfiction for pay, you may just find - as I do - that it stimulates the creative juices. And, as long as you don't let it take over all your available writing time - you may just find some tasty tidbits to add depth to your fiction and poetry.
