After all, why should Booker T call himself the five-time WCW champion? Isn't he now the five-time World Champion? The name is staying in circulation. No one has pretended that WCW never existed. In fact WWE.com lists the career highlights for all its wrestlers on both rosters, and include real WCW title reigns (not just ones that occurred during the 2001 invasion) and even some ECW highlights.
It's known that McMahon has interest in re-inventing ECW when things become less difficult. It's also been said re-launching WCW was something to be considered down the line.
The 10th anniversary of Raw would be terrifically dramatic time to start an invasion. WWF/E Raw would have it's full ten years conclude, and the overrun would begin with an "invasion." This time it won't be the stars that are the center of the invasion, but the management. Similar to the way Ric Flair surprised everyone with news that he now co-owned the WWF, Bischoff could surprise McMahon with a purchase of Raw from WWE board members.
Next week would begin WCW Raw. Heck, they could even call it Nitro.
This time there would be no battle, no feuds to drag out and no constant jumping from side to side. Maybe a few trades would take place, but it would only be a change in gimmick and in marketing. This would keep the silly antics to a minimum, and re-launch WCW without a big spiel.
