They're Quite Forgiven

"Unforgiven" last Sunday that was so close to being a solid, 100 percent show it gives me chills. I don't even think I'm going to waste my time with much criticism, even though we all know it's more entertaining.

I wanted Spike Dudley and The Big Show to win the four-way tag bout for the Tag Team belts, but you can't have everything. The match was well played and having to come down to the Hardyz versus Dudleyz was great, but would have been better if it led into a feud to end at "No Mercy."

As much as I wanted to see Edge hold the Intercontinental title for a few more months, they needed to give it to Christian on Sunday in order for the feud to go on. If not, then it would have just made Christian look like a pain in the ass who doesn't know when he's beat.

I don't know if Edge should get the belt back at "No Mercy" either. You see, Edge has the charisma to make his own gimmick. But even Christian's name has little meaning without Edge. Edge and Christian worked great, but once Edge versus Christian is over, Christian will just be Christian, nothing more. My suggestion is to have him revert back to the original idea for the name, Christian Cruise (a cross between Tom Cruise and Christian Slater). Then there will be room for depth in the character and he can feud outside of Edge for other titles, possibly even in WCW.

Tajiri got gypped. I hate Rhyno -- kind of always did, but really do now. Titan Sports hates the Japanese. I will write that article now, I think.

My main reason for being so mad is that Tajiri has more personality in his body language than RVD, Stone Cold and Booker T put together. Just watch the way he mocks his opponents as they reel from his kicks. Just watch as he mimics their movements. He can't get on the mic and call them out so he does in the ring, where it all counts anyway. But no! Can't have guy who has it where it counts, he has to have it where it sells. Boo!

The best match of the night was without a doubt RVD and Jericho. I don't think we're going to see much of Jericho for a while under the premise of injury but really for his badly needed vacation. He helped hold up the WWF so much before The Rock's return along side Kurt Angle, who really stole the show since the Invasion began. These two men need to feud in the future, they are so capable and putting them together is like a new slant on the old Benoit-Jericho matches. Hell, Rob Van Dam even went for the headbutt-through-the-top-two-ropes-only-to-get-hit-by-a-chair like Benoit. Who cares if Jericho lost; it was a solid, flawless match. Of course, we saw RVD missing spots and delivering sloppy kicks against The Rock on "Raw" when he fought for the WCW title, but that's to be expected; anyone who saw that match knows it will take a week before he's back to par.
