Strange Things A'brewinWhat the heck has been going on in the WWF? Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H are now tag team champions AND respectively Heavy Weight Champion and Intercontinental Champion. Taker has been going on a rampage, Right to Censor has disappeared off the face of the planet, Rikishi returned, Test has been the whipping boy for the McMahons . . . the list goes on and on! This has indeed been one of the most messed up chain of events in WWF history. I have so many questions I don’t know where to begin: Where has Mick Foley been? The creative teased us with his appearance on “Raw” shortly before “Backlash.” Besides that and the barrage of promos for his new book, there has been no sign of him. When we saw him sign that “large stack of documents,” we were expecting dozens of Foley antics before, during, and after “Wrestlemania.” But that came and went, and then “Backlash” came and (thankfully) went, and we have only seen the man twice. Throw us a bone here! Also missing is the Right to Censor. Keep in mind I’m not complaining, and we did see this a few weeks in the works. Ever since they left their leader, Steven Richards, for dead with the Dead Man on April 26, the last “Smackdown” before “Backlash,” there hasn’t been hide nor hair of their blaring, ear-piercing music. So what will become of the righteous brothers and sister? I’m looking forward to the return of the Godfather. Now this isn’t likely, since the cause of this unfortunate group was endless attacks by the Parents Television Council against the whole wrestling pimp gimmick. He could still be the same old Godfather minus the hos and drug references, but that probably won’t fly with the WWF creative. As for the rest of the RTC -- who cares? But not everyone has been disappearing from site: Test has been getting a little bit more of the push he deserves; too bad it looks like the direction of the WCW. When Shane fought the Big Show at the April 29 “Backlash,” Test interfered for Shane-O-Mac. The following “Raw,” Test got his butt whipped by Triple H as punishment. We know Test has bad blood with anyone on the side of Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley (because of the Helmsley extension on her last name). The perfect push for the 6-foot-9-er would be to team him up with two other giants: Undertaker and Kane!
