Bonny Needs Quite A Few Good People!

It's funny - I get quite a few emails every week asking me if I can find jobs for people. Regretfully, I have always had to respond that I have no jobs to offer potential "work-at-homers", I just list them. But suddendly that has all changed!

Recently, I was offered the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a company called Connex 24/7 Media, which will be based in my hometown of Cranbrook, B.C., Canada. The company is an Internet start up, with a site launch date of July 15, 2000.

The premise behind the company is that we will be a creative, alternative and fresh information and news source for (to start) B.C. and Canada, but also globally. This means that we are looking for content that is not only text based, but also new media based (ie: video, audio, Flash, etc. on the web).

In order to have the site launched by that time, I am looking for quite a few good people to join me on a freelance basis. All positions are highly flexible in relation to space and time, although there will be deadlines to meet. We are not offering full time, permanent work at this time, but if your work is good, there definately is potential.

We have three specific freelancing needs to be met over the next couple of weeks. They are listed below, so please read carefully. I would ask that anyone interested please email me at balbo@direct.ca, along with a 50 - 100 word blurb as to why you would be an asset to our company. Links or copies of sample work is greatly appreciated, but not necessary. (However, please keep all attachments to less than 1 MB). I also ask that you state somewhere in your 50 - 100 words what your flat rate would be for each project / article. All work is purchased with first electronic rights - all rights revert back to the author 30 days after publication.

Freelance Writers
Articles needed are to be between 300 - 500 words that cover an issue, topic or news of interest to the global community. Specific areas and topics of interest include sports (specifically hockey), fashion (ie: what's new), new media and / or the Internet, business, finance, and lifestyles. However, if you have an idea for an article, please do not hesitate to submit it.

If you have an interest or experiene in the following, then we definately want to talk to you! Flash, Director, graphic design, Internet radio, audio, video, and emerging Internet technologies. Our goal is to feature information in a new and fresh way - with your help. Students are more than welcome to apply for these positions - only a willingness to experiment is needed, as well as a drive to finish a project on a tight schedule.
