"A survey by the Conference Board of Canada ... says 46 per cent of workers feel stress balancing their work and home lives-- up from 27 per cent in 1993."

"Married people between the ages of 25 and 44 who work and have children have the most trouble coping. Among this group in 1998, 38 percent of the women said they didn't feel they had enough time, and 26 percent of married dads felt stressed out."

These and other related headlines have been in the back of my mind now for a couple of days; ever since I overheard on CNN that higher levels of stress have been linked to increased memory loss.

So, I decided that, from now on in, I will relax as much as possible, and take regular breaks in my day to rejuvenate myself. Because if I cannot remember what to do next, how can I do it? :)

The following are some of my favorite sites to relax at, get more information, or purchase relaxing products from. It's my way of sharing a cup of tea together in a hectic day. Enjoy!

EAT
- Two servings of fish a week, to get your fill of omega-3 fatty acids, which may help brain function. Get some new, easy recipies from Kraft here, or search Mastercook's HUGE library here.

- Drink lots of water! Mild dehydration can lead to headaches, and thus become a concetration hog. Carry around a 1L bottle of water everywhere, so you'll know when you've had your fill.

SMELL
Saje
Just a little bit of luxury will find you when you smell some of the delightful scents from Saje, a Canadian company that does not test of animals, or use animal by-products. Try their Goddess blend to relax and rejuvenate yourself! Learn a little more about aromatherapy as well, for those of you not familiar with it.

Lush Canada
Okay, if you haven't heard about LUSH yet, then you need to go for a little visit - RIGHT NOW. I'm not joking. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, the only thing that would make me feel a little less nauseous and a little more "weightless" was one of their Butterball bath bombs. (And yes, this is the company that "created" the bath bomb!) Just the creative use of names and the wonderfull smell always put a smile on my face.
