Working with Recruiters to Help You Find Work at Home

If you have been searching high and low for a job that you can perform from home, then you've been talking to the wrong people, or searching the wrong websites. Because if there is anyone knows about the jobs available in your area, it's your local recruiter.

A recruiter is someone who is paid to locate people for specific jobs in their area, and may even receive a bonus if the person they place ends up staying in the position for a certain period of time. It makes sense then that they will want a large base of people in any geographical region to draw from for any jobs that land in their laps. So if you are looking for a job, then you need to make sure that these people have your name on their list.

There are quite a few national agencies already on the Internet for you to reasearch. I cannot guarantee that many (or even any) of them have, or are looking to, place workers who are employed from their home. However, with just a quick, polite and professional e-mail to them at your leisure can enable you to determine if they will be able to help you locate that special telecommuting position for little or no cost at all to you.

Staffing solutions, excutive searches. Canadian. No home-based positions listed, but there is a search function to check periodically.

Accountemps Inc.
Hosts a great searchable database to locate accounting positions all over North America. I was very impressed with this site; wages are posted freely, everything is neatly organized and easy to read, and there are a lot of positions to choose from.

Accu_staff Resource Staffing Systems Ltd.
Geared towards job seekers in Southwestern Ontario and Michigan. Quite a few postings, but little information on position details. No salaries discussed, and if you click on a link for a particular position, you'll be sent to their e-mail.

Apple One Emplyment Services
Covering US and Southern Ontario. Apply online to the location of your choice for temporary or regular positions. Very large list of positions available; search function is usable, but not the best.

Arthur Rivard & Associates
Canadian (mostly Ontario) management consulting firm. Excellent layout and graphics - I wish that every site was this easy to navigate!

Bauscke & Associates
Focusing on management positions. Only two jobs posted here at this time.

Bernard Haldane Associates
