Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

Since you can't stop by to trick or treat, I thought I'd put together a virtual Web neighborhood of treats for you.

No full moon here and it is a much chillier night than usual in my neighborhood, but there is nothing cold about this site - just "way cool". All Halloween, all the time at http://www.13thtrack.com. If you've neglected to pick up the right music for your Halloween party, try this for next year. It has Halloween Radio, Halloween music and ghost stories - very nicely done. Spread the word.

Speaking of words (and we do so around this topic quite often) - check out this site and help with the goal to make this one of the most complete lists (if not the most complete list) of Halloween words and terms. I'd say reaching the goal is close. Lots of Halloween words here. Where? At Halloween Words and Terms at http://www.thatsnotright.com/terms.html

We can't leave the world of print out of our treat bags.

Halloween Bibliography

Feast upon a wonderful collection of books about Halloween, including the ever-delightful Weird! The Complete Book of Halloween Words by Peter R. Limburg and illustrated by Betsy Lewin, published by Bradbury Press in 1989.

This is a nice selection of useful and enjoyable books of Halloween found at http://www.dslextreme.com/users/lisam9/b...

Then, we've got these other web sites to try if you're not too tired or too spooked.

This concludes our short trick-or-treat trek and our "short" monthly article. This article is shorter than usual, but I've been busy tracking down more links about words. I've decided that I need to add to that area and so have focused on finding more delightful websites about "words, words and more words." So be sure to keep checking this month as I add to my links list.

Also, I have stacks of books and a couple of games that I need to get through and review, so look for those in future months.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for future articles.

Happy Halloween!!
