The Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) hired former Quaker Oats executive Barbara Allen to be the league's chief executive officer.
Allen was with Quaker Oats from 1977-1998 and left the company as the executive vice president of international food products. After Quaker Oats, Allen became president of Corporate Express and is currently the president of Paladin Resources, LLC. Paladin is a Denver-based company providing services to internet and communications companies. In addition, Allen recently became a director of Tyson Foods, Inc. and a director of Maytag Corporation. Former U.S. National Team head coach Tony DiCicco was serving as the WUSA's acting commissioner and he will stay with the league, reporting to Allen.
