This is the final part of a continuing series of articles about Women and Sex that began on September 8. In addition to the introductory article, there are previous articles on the topics of birth control, visiting the OBGyn, and virginity.
Webster defines sexy as "sexually suggestive or stimulating: erotic." Have you ever stopped to think just how much actually fits into that definition? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - and so is being sexy! For some people, sexy may just be a few things. For others, the list of "what is sexy" could go and on and and on and on. (I know that I'd personally run out of space in this article if I was to write about what I found sexy.) So let's not dwell on what sexy actually is. Let's look at how being sexy has changed for women over the years. Centuries ago, the only women who were "allowed" to be sexy were those who were either hookers or who had so much money that everyone let them do whatever they wanted to. Mother Jones was never thought of as being sexy - nor could she possibly be sexy. It just wasn't right for a woman to be sexy, at least not openly. Today, things are much more different. There are still those people who don't think it's ok to be openly sexy. They believe that it's just not acceptable to be like that. Which is fine. However, there are many women who have no problems being openly sexual. I'm not talking about public displays of sexual acts, but the act of having a sexy attitude. Being sexy is ALL in your attitude. It's been said before, and it's true - if you think you are sexy, then you will be sexy. Yes, women, it is as easy as that. You could be beautiful, but if you don't believe that you are then you will constantly be putting off a negative attitude about yourself. That's not sexy. Feeling confident, beautiful, and alluring can indeed make you more sexy than you ever thought you could be. And there is nothing wrong with being sexy. Women have gained all sorts of rights since the beginning of the Women's Rights Movement. These rights aren't just the legal ones, but they are also ones in the social world. Women have the right to be sexy. It doesn't make them a slut, it just means they are doing what they want to do. After all, men can dress themselves up to look incredibly handsome and sexy, so why can't women? Go To Page: 1 2
