Women Going To The Animals

We all hear about those old maids living their lonely single lives in a house filled with cats. So it's almost cliché to talk about a woman and her cats, but it's also not as simple as a lonely woman and a fury animal.

I live in a little apartment with two adorable cats. I've yet to have my own children and my cats have become my babies. They are there for me after I get home from a long day of work and all they want is food and love. When I leave the apartment, they are at my feet begging to come with me or make me stay. Their little meow cries tug at my heart and make me wish I could read their minds to figure out exactly what they want.

Now that might sound strange or odd to some people, but it's perfectly natural for me and many other pet owners like me. Living single isn't always a big bachelor/ette party. There are times when you wish you had another person there to help you cope with a problem. Even though a pet can't understand the words out of your mouth, they understand the love that you give them and I'm convinced that my cats know when I need their affection. Not to mention the fact that they are the best things to tell a secret to. You won't have to worry about the beans ever being spilled about whatever you tell them.

I turned into a cat lover, but that doesn't mean that cats are the best pet for everyone. I have an extremely busy life and my cats are basically "low maintenance", so I don't have to stress about making sure they go for walks or get their exercise. If you have the extra time and want a pet, then maybe you should look into getting a different pet that you can devote more time to. Dogs are great pets; they just require more time. Depending on the type of dog you get, that will affect how much time you will need to devote to your pet.

If you make the choice to get a dog, make sure that you choose one you will be able to properly take care of. It isn't a good idea to get a large dog that requires exercise if you live in a small place and won't be able to take the dog out on a regular basis. There are all sorts of books on dogs that will go into the details of each breed's personality. Believe or not, but each breed has its own individual needs and lives best in certain surroundings. Before making the step of buying a dog make sure you are getting the dog that is right for your.

I'd hate to be all alone, young or old. They do add companionship. Jerri

so true! Pets can make a big difference in a single woman's life. And if she is she is older, and living by herself, they are invaluable. I enjoyed the article.
