Domestic Violence Awareness - Page 2

The instability which comes from breaking off a marriage to an abusive spouse, is enough to keep women with their husbands, no matter what. They are bound to those men in every sense of the word. Financially, some women don't think they could live without their husband's support. Many abused women are simply more afraid of a life alone, then they are afraid of their husband's fist.

That may sound ugly, but it is the harsh reality and it is something we all must understand. Only then, can we start to stop the ugly cycle of abuse. Not just husband to wife, but person to person. Unfortunately, women have traditionally been the gender who has suffered the most because of domestic violence. Because of that, it is especially important for women to help end domestic violence.
