Standing Tall - Page 2

After the abuse is over, a woman has to make the choice to stand up for herself and make sure that her abuser is properly taken care of. Whether that involves pressing charges, or just getting out of the situation and getting to a safe place, its still a choice a woman has to make. Some get stuck in the place that they are in and aren't able to stand up for themselves and get out. Fortunately there is a growing number of resources and organizations who help women help themselves. It's the women who don't get the help and don't stand up for themselves that we must worry about.

Now is not the time for women to sit back and watch things happen. We have made an extreme amount of progress in the women's movement, but there is still much to be done. Women have to keep on standing tall and sticking up for their rights if we want to ensure an equal and fair future for our daughters.
