A Women's World: What Would It Be Like If Women Ruled The World

We have always been told that "it's a man's world." If you are a woman, then you know exactly what I mean. Men probably don't only because it's hard to see the short end of the stick when you are waving around the big stick yourself.

What would this world be like if history were a little bit different? If Adam had been created from Eve's rib? If family fortunes were passed down from mother to daughter? If there was a "first husband" instead of a first lady. Imagine that...

One of the biggest differences would probably be in our world view on reproductive rights. In some countries, women aren't able to do what they want to do with their bodies. If they get pregnant by accident, they must keep the baby (or have a back alley abortion). Well, in our wonderful new world, I'm sure things would be different then. There would probably be more advances done in the birth control field. Hopefully to the point where you would only get pregnant if you wanted to get pregnant.

In this flipside world, men would be viewed as bastards if they were pushy or agressive. It would be expected that women would try to get what they want; that would be the "nature" of women. Of course, I would think that women wouldn't be as cutthroat as some male leaders (in our reality) can be.

I have also heard some people say that if women ruled the world, there would be less fighting. HA! Have you ever seen two women fight over a man? Oh it can get nasty. Women are VERY capable of being as cruel as any man so don't let the cute looks fool you. Perhaps there would be less world-wide wars and more petty little fights between countries. I doubt that there would be world-wide peace if women ruled the world. Fighting is, unfortunately, part of human nature, not just "man's" nature.

And ladies, I have three words for you; "NO BATHROOM LINES." Yes, imagine that!

Ok, so it's a nice little dream. It's far from the reality that we live in everyday. But it's always good to have a dream. Things are the way they are now for a reason, I truly believe that. Women are as strong as they are now because of the struggles they have had to overcome. So as nice as a Woman's World may be, I'm happy in the world I'm in now.
