Mother's Day is almost here. If you are like me, you are racking your brain trying to figure out what to get mom. After over 20 years of Mother's Day Gifts, my creativity is running low.
When deciding on what to buy mom, you should think about her interests and hobbies. Flowers, candy and balloons are nice gifts, but they don't last forever. Your mom might like getting a gift that will keep on giving, even after Mother's Day is over. My mother has recently gotten into gardening, and I'm thinking about visitning Garden.com to find a Mother's Day gift for her. Maybe your mom doesn't have a hobby. Maybe she is a busy working mother who just doesn't have the time to put into something like gardening or another hobby. Well, have no fear! You still have some choices for gifts. Take some time and think about what your mother enjoys, what makes her smile, or makes her life better. You can then buy a gift that you think might bring a smile to her face. Bath products are particularly popular this year. What a perfect way to help mom relax after a busy day! If you want to make it even more special, actually plan her night of relaxation. Of course, it's good to pick a night when you know she is busy. Then when she gets home, have a nice warm bath ready for her - complete with lots of bubbles, relaxing music, wine, finger foods, and reading material. Grab your mother's datebook and find a date that is good for her - then clear up your schedule so it's good for you. After all, mom shouldn't have to go flipping her schedule around to get her gift. Then pick her favorite restaurant and some nice activity for the two of you to do together. Depending on where you live, that activity could range from a trip to the museum, a walk in the park, a trip to the mall, or catching an afternoon matine at the local movie theatre or playhouse. Whatever you plan on doing, make sure it's something that you and your mom can enjoy together. That's the whole point of this gift - the gift of time.
