Due to limited finances, I was unable to consult with Dr. Jensen again, but his trial and error methods and resultant findings left me with a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. Back I went to the Internet.

Everything I found about this "difficult-to-diagnose-and-treat" disease fit me perfectly. I did, indeed, have the history and symptoms. The problem is there's no recognized standard of treatment. It seems everyone reacts to medications in different ways and there's no set of protocol which will provide relief for all cases.

I've talked via the net to a great many people and investigated the known treatments for Fibro, and I've come to the conclusion that there is no one answer. Every sufferer is unique and it's important to take charge of your own life and treatment.

I have had reactions and side effects to many of the normally prescribed drugs. Finally, I just quit taking the mind-altering medications and the ones prescribed for depression. I could not stand to continue living a life submerged in a fog, with no emotions, unable to feel and experience the joys of life.

I began to feel better within a day or two. Better in the sense that my mind cleared, and I found myself able to experience joy and feelings that I hadn't felt for a long time. At last I could laugh and cry with my husband and family! It felt great!

Physically, I was still having difficulty in doing anything which required physical exertion. I tried some herbals like, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng and various combinations which are supposed to give you energy. After various periods of trial and error I have settled, temporarily, on a combination that seems to have helped some. I still have a lot of pain and am very limited physically, but now I am able to do more around the house as long as I don't overdo it and get enough sleep.

I take two prescription drugs: Ultram, twice a day for pain, and Lodine for Rheumatoid Arthritis, which began and flared up since the first surgery.

Along with these I've found the following herbal combination has allowed me to feel more human and enables me to at least get dressed and do crafts, light housework, and my writing and art. And most important, I WANT to do things.

POTASSIUM: 2 60 mg capsules each morning. Vitamin B-100 Complex: 1 per day and Vitamin C-1000: 1 to 3 per day. A GINKGO BILOBA combination: 69 mg, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Gotu Kola, 100 mg; Pine Bark Extract, 250 mcg; and Cayenne, 25 mg. And
