"That's right," said Sharon...our kids are all cousins and they don't even know one another."
"I'm glad Sonny got hold of us," said Dad. "It's hard to tell what these people would have done to you." "Where is Sonny?" I asked everyone and no one in particular. "He couldn't come here, right now," Nancy volunteered. "They're looking for him. He made some powerful enemies last night." "But the most powerful one is on our side," I answered. "I just hope he's somewhere safe. I know he did what he did because he had no choice. God comes first. We both know that. Evidently God had a very good reason!" "Right now," Dad said, picking up the phone, "I'm calling the police and get them over here to check this place out. I think these people have broken quite a few laws. I'm not sure if what they did to you was kidnapping...but it certainly was holding you against your will." "They're not going to get away with it!" said Lori. "I just wanted my Grammy to be safe." Leah grinned as she put her little face next to mine. Keith came hurriedly around to the other side of the bed and climbed up so he could do the same. "I'll protect you from now on, Grammy!" he said in a strong, determined voice. With that I felt myself slipping off to never-never land...once again. "Don't leave me..." I barely whispered. "Don't worry, Mom!" soothed Lori, "One of us will be with you from now on!" When I came to my senses again, of course there was no one around. Only my keeper, sitting in her chair, reading her book, and chewing gum. She just grinned as I opened my eyes.
