The next experience I remember was being taken to a house where it was evident something unusual was going to take place. There were about 50 people mingling around and everyone was called to watch a large TV screen. A man was talking about "God's railroad to plenty" and how everyone in attendance had been invited because of their devotion to our Lord, and this was a time for blessings to flow. Everyone was to concentrate on something they needed, and all seemed knowledgeable about what was going on. I watched the TV, along with several others, but I was unable to look at any faces. My full attention was drawn to the screen as we were told how the unbelieving world was going to be inflicted with diseases, catastrophes and other problems, but those who kept their faith in God would come through all things in good order.
"Where am I... and where are we going?" I asked the orderly who was my "pilot". "You are and have been right here in the hospital, in your bed in room 306." "I guess I shouldn't have asked," I said, resigned to hearing the same answer I always got. "No matter where I am, I am in the hospital in room 306, at least that's what everyone wants me to believe." I was soon indeed in room 306, my vital signs checked, and I was given more medication. I relaxed as the familiar arms of sleep surrounded me. As I was pulled into the depths of sleep, I was drawn back to the big arena, but this time we were behind the scenes. The seats were filled with an expectant audience. Back in the halls that wound around under the tiered seats, we were all asked to change into burlap bags with neck and arm holes in them. The atmosphere was one of gaiety and fun and there were bubbles floating all over the place. Not just a few, but the air was thick with suds, and the bubbles were all the colors of the rainbow. "What's going on?" I asked, being caught up in the happiness and gaiety. "Well, every Saturday night, we have an initiation for those who have passed the test and want to join God's church. This is your initiation."
