Very perturbed, Judy and the nurses realized they would have to take me to the hospital for x-rays to make sure I hadn't damaged my back even more.
The next thing I remember... we were waiting in the emergency room and there was a man with a rain coat and hat standing at my right shoulder, and a black lady standing on the left of the gurney I was strapped to. Somehow I knew that they were there to make sure I didn't talk to anyone and expose their secret. I prayed that they would call Dr. Sybert to check me over and maybe I would be able to get a message through to him. Finally, after x-rays, exams and what seemed hours, Dr. Sybert said, "Well, you're going back into the hospital for at least two more days." "You mean I have to be admitted?" I whispered softly, full of hope, yet acting disappointed. I couldn't let them know what I was really thinking. "Yes, for at least two days." Dr. Sybert said sternly and I mouthed the words to him, "Thank you!" Now, at least maybe I can find a way to tell someone about what's going on, and then I could escape from these people who had held me captive for nearly a week. Then, however, they started doing the experiments on me, mainly on my mind. There were spies everywhere. Every time I met a new nurse or someone I thought I could confide in, they would turn out to be part of the "group". I could hear people whispering and laughing in the hall outside my door and it seemed they kept moving me from room to room. Sometimes, it even felt like the room itself was moving. Whenever I asked anyone where I was, the answer was always the same. "You're in your bed in Doctor's Hospital, in room 306. "But you just took my bed to another room. " I would cry. "How can I be in the same room if you moved the bed?" I kept biting my lower lip and glaring at them.
