Regardless of your health goal, the first step is to decide what it is you want, and the choose the best overall strategy to achieve it. Once you decide what you want to achieve, it's time to start doing it. Do you want to lose weight? Do you want more energy? Do you want to start an exercise program? Do you want to increase the vegetables in your diet? Do you want to stop snacking on junk food? Every year, at the stroke of midnight, many individuals make resolutions similar to the above questions. But have you ever heard any say they want to improve their health through personal growth?
The most important step you can take to improve your health is through personal growth. For most women, self-esteem, education and an optimistic outlook on life are the essential factors for good health and the challenges of personal growth can help you learn more about yourself. To do this you must become proactive. Being proactive will help you create and support the kind of life and optimal health you truly want and deserve. It's also all about telling the truth. Being proactive is being able to see and act with choice or purpose and learning to live without demands, accusations, or judgments, in a rational, truthful state. This essence is found in reality, in truth. It is a time when rational beliefs override irrational beliefs.
There are many ways to get your mind free and clear of irrational beliefs. First, you need to know that every time you experience negative emotions you go in an out of reactivity. Here are some suggestions to help you move out of reactivity and into proactively:
Notice any negative emotions and uncover the truth
Meditate and pray. Learn to visualize for clarity
Dance, sing, laugh or smile
Go for a walk, swim, bike or stretch
Express your anger and frustration appropriately
Support yourself with plenty of good food, water and rest
Visualize how you really want to be
Step into a space of gratitude and grace
Remember who you are and the value you have in this life
Breathe deeply
