Over the past year WNBA.com has nearly doubled it's number of "Player Perspectives," columns written by the WNBA players themselves. The Player Perspectives started out with Rebecca Lobo's "World According to Me" and the column was such a hit that they added more. Here is a little about each column and what I think of them, on a five star scale.

Ticha's Top Ten Ticha Penicheiro does a great job with this column. Every article she rates the top ten of something, whether it is "The Top Ten Best Dressers of the WNBA" or "The Top Ten things you will notice when the Monarchs travel (or things we do when traveling on the bus or plane.)" This column gets four and a half stars.

Stargazing with Kate Starbird This is probably the best journal or column by any WNBA player. Kate Starbird gives fans a small insight to her life. In her August 11 entry Kate discussed her first (and last, she is now on the Utah Starzz) season with the Sacramento Monarchs. She talked about how hard it was to spend the majority of the season on the bench, and how she looks at it as a learning experience. This is a must-read for any basketball fan. Five stars, hands down.

Timmsy's Tales Trimsey's Tales is a readers inside look at the Australian National Team. Michele talks about the warm Christmases she has in Australia, and her first Christmas in the snow. She gives great insight as to what it is like playing for a league in a country that is not her own. This column is very good, I like the honesty Michele Timms portrays in this column. A four is what I give this column.

Wendy Palmer's Dear Diary Wendy Palmer uses this column to pretty much say whatever she wants to. It is very interesting, Wendy has some great experiences and family to include in her column. In her January 14, 2000 article, Wendy talks about Christmas at her Grandmothers house. She says that her Grandmother is the rock of her family, and is her source of inspiration. I give this column three and a half stars.
