The WB network, in one of the most lame-brained moves ever, has relinquished its cult fave, Buffy The Vampire Slayer to the loseresque UPN. If I had a hilltop near me, I would wail from the tallest one, "WHHHYYY?!?" As it is, I must be content with my desert valley and ponder "huh?" Sure, Buffy wasn't WB's most-watched show, but it was in its top three (following 7th Heaven and Dawson's Creek). Not only was it one of that network's top shows, but it was also the only one of the three that drew in as many male viewers as female. My real question is, whatever will Buffy do in her new UPN slot? At the moment, the most female-friendly shows on this B-grade station include Blind Date and its hour-long syndicated Friends time block Monday through Saturady. However, an embarrassing reality show and a repeat (of a repeat of a repeat) does not a successful station make. WB's loss is definitely UPN's gain. The real question I'm having trouble with, I guess, is why Buffy? Why not Felicity? Go To Page: 1
