What a Life

Wouldn't it be great to live a day in the life of an editor in chief of a big New York magazine? Imagine if you began your editorial career at The Village Voice, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone and finally at one of the largest successes in the the 1990s: Teen People.

That's how Barbara O'Dair's resume must read. She's mum about her age, but she definitely is young-at-heart. Who else would be able to helm a magazine devoted to the inner workings of Eminem's mind and the behind-the-scenes look at "Dawson's Creek" -- without cracking a smile. A fan of rock-n-roll, O'Dair actually looks forward to the talk-fests with Britney Spears and N'Sync. Well, someone's gotta do it.

Best of luck to O'Dair, but one piece of advice: when you're in your car at the next red light, remember that people can read lips as you're lip syncing "Oops, I Did It Again."
