Day of Terror

© Hunter

Are you all flying the American Flag this week? As I drive around town and this could be Anytown, USA, I see American Flags flying from all the downtown light poles. Many homes and businesses are also displaying their flags, including mine. It's funny that it takes a tragedy like a terrorist attack on America to bring out the patriotism in our citizenry.

I have also noticed the differences in people as you pass them on the street or observe them in restaurants. You don't see many people joking around or laughing . . . you also can feel the anger in the increased road rage. I myself feel many emotions. . . anger, frustration, anger, helplessness, anger.

Everyone you talk to seems to know someone involved in the in the situation. It really is a small world.

As you can expect, there are the mean people that have purged the webpage that is there to help the families and victims. There are also those that think calling in a crank bomb threat is a good time. It has always amazed me that some people would get pleasure from doing that.

The thought in the back of everyone's mind is what will happen next. No one believes it is over, whether it be another attack somewhere or retaliation for what we may do as an Act of War. All we can do is wait and see . . . and I think that is the worst part. . . the waiting. Waiting to see if more buildings fall . . .waiting to see if there are more survivors . . . waiting to see what our government and miltary will do . . . waiting for retaliation . . .waiting . . .
