After spending an hour a few nights ago watching a political discussion forum on the subject of whether or not President Clinton should have apologized to Monica Lewinsky for the affair, all I could think of was . . . "You Have Got To Be Kidding"!
Monica Lewinsky was and is the consenting age of 21. As you could see from clips on television now and then, she was smiling, flirtatious and was very much enjoying herself. What did she think?. . . that Bill was going to leave Hilary for her? That she would be the new First Lady? Monica Lewinsky not only recieved the pleasure of being with a president, who if I may say so, is quite a handsome man, but she will walk away from this a rich and famous woman. If there aren't already, there will probably be talk shows and book deals and movies and much more. Monica knew exactly what she was doing, otherwise why would she have saved the dress without cleaning it and taped conversations and discussed these very private moments with others? She is guilty, yes, of being calculating and manipulative. As I see it, the only persons who deserve apologizes here are Hilary and Chelsea. Monica should apologize to them. It is ridiculous for her to expect an apology from Bill Clinton. . . She doesn't deserve one.
A second topic that I believe falls into the "You Have To Be Kidding" category is the document that the presidents have been signing that says they will not assassinate a foreign leader in retaliation. Wouldn't we have been much better off if someone would have gotten rid of Hitler? And don't you think the world would be better off with one less terrorist leader threatening the lives of American citizens? Not only is this man costing us more money in security and military defense, but I know I will be very nervous traveling the possibly not so friendly skies from now on. . Oh, and by the way, do you think if this terrorist decides to blow up the White House, that he will call up Bill and Hilary and ask them to leave first? Go To Page: 1 2
