Dowsing. Even after all these years since I first heard the word, I still find it - well - hilarious. Fully creditable, but hilarious nonetheless. Just a grammatical giggle from your editor folks ;-)
It was Gran in fact, who first told me that the same method could be used for healing purposes, to find what the problem was, and "suck it out." While she used her wedding ring tied to a piece of string from the package of sausage we'd picked up that day, she told me of the different items that could be used, such as the familiar water-dowsing stick made from a Y branch of a willow or hazel tree. The steel rods used by some to discover Ley Lines can be used as well. The most effective item, however, is the pendulum. This item can be made from pretty much anything, so long as it balances. In these modern times, however, it is possible to purchase pendulums online and offline at various stores and outlets. Quite often you'll find a pendulum at pagan auctions as well. The best way to start with this method is by charging your pendulum to work with you. Fill it with your energies, and the purpose for which you bought or created it. Practice with it. You must develop a firm yes/no/maybe communication with the pendulum itself. You can do this by asking simple questions, or by asking the pendulum to show you which way it will circle for yes, no and maybe. When this is done, find someone you can practice dowsing for illness on. This person must know already what (if anything) is wrong, however, you yourself should not be told. Have the recipient lay down, and then begin at the feet, dangling the pendulum into the aura. You will have to move slowly, but when the pendulum discovers a trouble spot, it will let you know by spinning in its fashion. Go To Page: 1 2
