For the most part, people in the mundane world view candles as pretty, although not necessary, additions to their environment. What they aren't entirely understanding is that these very candles could affect their lives, and their health.
One way to focus this energy is by using the color of the wax to direct the energies to the chakra centers. Another is to focus your intent into the candle, and then flowing as the flame burns, to the person(s) needing it. For color energies, please refer to the lists both at Color Healing Meditation and Basic Aura Healing. Use these lists as a guide for your healing spells using candles. When you are ready to begin your spell, simply light the candle of the appropriate color, and allow it to burn away completely. This is best done in a cauldron or similar item used only for such purposes. If you will be using the focus/intent method, simply follow the basic instructions below until you are reasonably comfortable enough to maintain your own methods.
Needed: Before starting your spell, you must ground and center, preparing yourself for the working ahead. Do this in the manner you are most accustomed, and if you so desire, you may cast a circle as well. On your altar, or other area, set up the candle(s) and other tools as needed. Take your time, and focus your intent in every motion and action you do. Finally, as you light the candle, say the words of your spell. Stay with the candle for several moments, or until it burns down completely. If you are using a seven day candle, burn the candle for at least 20 minutes.
