Compete With the Masters - And Win

Jul 22, 2001 - © Lea Moore

If you are looking for a way to increase your value to the company you work for, or seeking a position with another organization, the best way to compete with those Bachelor's and Master's degrees is to get as many certifications as you can, in the field you are pursuing.

You may be the best candidate for the job and be more than qualified, in every other way except education. The job requires a master's degree. It requires a bachelor's degree. It requires that you know how to use certain software that you utilize at home but have never proven it in an employment position.

Go to BrainBench, sign up for their annual or monthly membership, and start testing. If you need advise or assistance to succeed in with a certain certification, take advantage of their cert preps. They will provide you will all of the information you need and the online training necessary for you to complete the test at the top. You will receive a grade and a certificate. If you pass with a 4.0 or higher on a scale of 5.0, you will certified as a master of the subject.

As women in a man's world, we must prove ourselves to be better, stronger and more qualified than the next applicant. If your resume is lacking in the education department, this is one of the best ways I have found to increase marketability.

A few of those masters certifications added to your resume, and you are well on your way to competing, and winning, the next time you apply for your ideal position.
